Download Instagram files on PC or Mac
Use your desktop browser to save available media from an Instagram post you own or have permission to download. No desktop program is required for the web downloader.
Save a file to your computer
- Open the individual post in Instagram and copy its address from the browser address bar.
- Open the Video, Reels or Photo tool and paste the link with Ctrl+V on Windows or Command+V on Mac.
- Submit the link, review the preview, then select the file download button.
- Check the browser’s download history. Use its show-in-folder option to locate the completed file; the destination depends on your browser settings.
Several items in one post
Use Carousel to inspect the returned images and videos. Save the items individually or use an offered ZIP. Open the completed archive with your operating system’s archive utility and compare its contents with the original post.
Preview works but the download fails
A media link can expire between retrieval and saving. Submit the original post once more for a fresh result. Check free disk space and browser warnings. Keep browser protection enabled instead of forcing a blocked file.
