ReelDown Is an Independent Tool

Not affiliated

ReelDown is an independent website. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, sponsored by or connected to Instagram, Facebook, Threads, Meta Platforms, TikTok, ByteDance or Pinterest.

Instagram, Facebook, Threads, TikTok and Pinterest are trademarks of their respective owners. Their names are used on ReelDown only to describe which public links a tool can read.

No media library

ReelDown does not host, index or publish a library of other people's photos or videos, and it has no search of user content.

A tool only processes a public link that a visitor submits. The result is fetched from the original public source on request, and any temporary file created during processing is deleted automatically after a short time.

Your responsibility

Saving a file does not transfer any rights to it. Copyright stays with the creator or rights holder.

Use ReelDown for content you own, content you have permission to save, or uses allowed by the law where you live. Do not re-upload, sell or claim other people's work as your own.

How to Send a DMCA Takedown Notice

If you are a copyright owner, or authorised to act for one, and you believe ReelDown is being used to infringe your work, send a written notice to [email protected] with the subject line “DMCA notice”. Please include:

  1. Your physical or electronic signature (typing your full legal name is enough).
  2. A description of the copyrighted work you believe is being infringed.
  3. The exact ReelDown page URL and the original source link (for example the Instagram, TikTok, Facebook or Pinterest URL) involved.
  4. Your name, postal address, telephone number and email address.
  5. A statement that you have a good-faith belief that the use is not authorised by the copyright owner, its agent or the law.
  6. A statement that the information in your notice is accurate and, under penalty of perjury, that you are the owner or are authorised to act for the owner.

Notices that are missing required information may not be actionable. Sending a false or misleading notice can make you liable for damages.

What happens next

How ReelDown Handles a Valid Notice

Review

We review every complete notice we receive and may contact you if we need more details to identify the material.

Action

When a notice is valid and the material is within our control, we remove or disable access to it, for example by blocking the identified source link from being processed by our tools.

Repeat abuse

ReelDown does not offer user accounts. Where we can identify repeated infringing use of our tools, we may block that access.

Counter-notice

If You Believe a Removal Was a Mistake

If material you are responsible for was removed or disabled and you believe this was a mistake or misidentification, you can send a counter-notice to [email protected]. It should include:

  1. Your physical or electronic signature.
  2. The material that was removed or disabled and the link where it appeared before removal.
  3. A statement under penalty of perjury that you have a good-faith belief the material was removed as a result of mistake or misidentification.
  4. Your name, address and telephone number, and a statement that you consent to the jurisdiction of the appropriate court and will accept service of process from the person who sent the original notice.

We may share a counter-notice with the person who sent the original notice.
