This Privacy Policy explains what information ReelDown collects when you visit reeldown.app or use its downloader and viewer tools, how that information is used, which third-party services are involved, including Google Analytics and Google AdSense, and the choices you have.
When you use a ReelDown tool, you paste a public link, such as an Instagram Reel, post or story, a TikTok video, a Facebook video or Reel, or a Pinterest Pin, or you enter a public username. We use that input only to find and prepare the public media you asked for.
Only submit links to content you are allowed to save. ReelDown cannot open private accounts or content that requires a login.
Like almost every website, our servers and our network provider receive standard technical information with each request: your IP address, browser and device type (user agent), the page requested, the referring page, the date and time, and the response status.
ReelDown uses a few first-party cookies and browser storage for security and preferences. Google, our analytics and advertising provider, also uses cookies. Each one is described in the Cookies section below.
ReelDown has no user accounts. We never ask for your Instagram, TikTok, Facebook or Pinterest password, and we do not collect your name, email address, phone number or payment details. If you email us, we receive only the details you choose to include in your message.
The link is sent from your browser to ReelDown over an encrypted HTTPS connection. The paste button reads your clipboard only when you tap it, and only if your browser allows it.
Our servers request the media from the platform's public servers or through third-party media-processing services. These services receive the public link you submitted, not your IP address, your name or any account details.
The available photos, videos or audio are shown on the page so you can preview and save them. ReelDown does not publish what you download and does not build a library of other people's content.
Cookies are small text files stored by your browser. ReelDown and its partners use the following:
chlak-theme remembers whether you chose light or dark mode. It stays in your browser until you clear your site data._ga and _ga_* distinguish visits and sessions so we can measure how the site is used. They can last up to two years.ReelDown uses Google Analytics 4, a web analytics service provided by Google, to understand how visitors use the site: for example which pages are visited, how long visits last, which website or search engine referred the visit, the type of device and browser, and the approximate country or city. This helps us fix problems and improve the tools and guides.
Google Analytics 4 does not log or store IP addresses, and we do not use Google Analytics to identify individual visitors.

ReelDown uses Google AdSense to display ads. Ads help keep ReelDown free to use.
If you opt out, you will still see ads, but they may be less relevant to you. For visitors in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom and Switzerland, Google serves personalized ads only where consent has been given; otherwise non-personalized or limited ads may be shown.

ReelDown is delivered through Cloudflare, which protects the site from attacks and speeds up page delivery. Cloudflare processes connection and request information, such as IP addresses, to provide these services.
Our web server keeps access and error logs for security, troubleshooting and abuse prevention. Logs are rotated daily and only a limited number of recent copies are kept.
All traffic uses HTTPS. The site sends security headers, including a content security policy, and limits tool requests to prevent abuse. No online service can guarantee absolute security.
To process the public links you submit and show you the photos, videos or audio that are available.
To detect and block bots, scraping and other abuse. For this, we keep a temporary count of tool requests per IP address or network range, and the count resets every day.
To understand which pages and tools are useful, find errors, and improve speed and content.
To display ads through Google AdSense, which keeps ReelDown free.
We do not sell your personal information. We share it only with the service providers described in this policy, or when the law requires it.
Tool results: kept in a short-term server cache, typically from 15 minutes to a few hours, so repeated requests for the same public link load faster, and then discarded.
Temporary media files: some videos, such as Facebook videos where picture and sound must be combined, are prepared as a temporary file on our media server and deleted automatically after a short time.
Request limits: daily request counters are reset every day.
Server logs: rotated daily and kept only for a limited number of days.
Google Analytics: data is kept according to the retention settings of our Google Analytics property.
Emails: messages you send us are kept only as long as needed to answer and follow up on your request.
If the GDPR or UK GDPR applies to you, you have the right to access, correct or delete personal data about you, to object to or restrict its processing, and to complain to your local data protection authority.
We process technical data on the basis of our legitimate interest in running a secure and useful website, and we rely on consent where the law requires it.
California residents have the right to know what personal information is collected, to request its deletion, and to opt out of its sale or sharing. ReelDown does not sell personal information. You can limit ad personalization through Google Ads Settings or your browser settings.
Email [email protected]. Because ReelDown has no accounts, we may need details such as the approximate date and time of your visit to find related records. Some information, such as cached results, may already have been deleted automatically.
ReelDown is not directed to children under 13, or under the minimum age required in your country, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has sent us personal information, contact us and we will delete it.

Our servers, and those of our service providers, may be located in countries other than yours, including countries in the European Union and the United States. When personal data is transferred internationally, it is protected by the safeguards our providers offer, such as standard contractual clauses.
